Red, White and Blue Strawberry Shortcake
I thought I's post this recipe for the upcoming 4th of July it is delicious and so easy to make.
Those watching my baking community please post anything for the 4th of July coming up.
Red, White and Blue Strawberry Shortcake...
Ingredients
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 pint blueberries, rinsed and drained
2 pints fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced
1. Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. Cool completely.
2. Frost cake with whipped topping. Place blueberries in a square in the corner, and arrange sliced strawberries as stripes to make an American flag. Chill until serving.
Edit:I followed the directions and used yellow cake but you can use shortcake. Also a white cake that you punch holes in for a jello cake would be very nice then frost as usual.

This would be such a cute idea for a 4th celebration! If we do anything around here, I just might have to steal the decoration idea. Thanks for posting it!
