Can anyone help me with this?
Oct. 7th, 2011 04:56 pmA quick question before my computer dies. Does anyone know how to make bitmap go away when I click on an icon?
This computer doesn't let me upload and change icons like the laptop or kids computer does.
If I can click on something to change the file type that would be great. I have a couple cool icons I want to change for Halloween and can't thanks to this computer. :(

You could use mspaint, it comes with windows.
Press the windows icon on the taskbar. then go to run, click there and just type --> mspaint
In the program, browse to the place where you have your icon, open it and save it as jpg or gif. It'll be a smaller size and you can upload it.

Date: 2011-10-07 10:31 pm (UTC)Paint comes with your PC (if it's a Windows PC). Another great programme for working with pictures is Photoscape which you can download for free online.
Once you've opened the picture in one of those programmes, just go to "save as" and you can choose the type you want for that pic/icon.
