Happy 81st birthday Shirley Temple I have loved her since she was a little girl she's just so sweet and adorable you can't help but love her as an actress and woman.
OMG, yes I did! I'm so sorry I never replied about it. I can't remember what happened, if I was sick or really tired or what, but I read it and was going to comment, but I never did. I need to go back and find it, now, so I can re-read it. Thanks so much for that.
I haven't seen that many of her movies but I've always appreciated the steel beneath her superficial innocence. It's pretty funny how, in her day, certain people were all up in arms over her characters and their alleged "flirtations" (dancing and singing in little spangled costumes) with roomsful of older men, and now she's remembered as the most wholesome of her kind.
