Amish Cookie recipe!
Aug. 25th, 2010 12:12 amIt seems I'm in a recipe sharing mood lately. This is another of my sons favorite recipe's ever. It's different than toll house and not as sweet and that's why it's my sisters favorite because she sometimes doesn't feel like eating such a sweet cookie. These are a great cookie :)
Soft Amish Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 C. Shortening
1 C. Sugar
2 lg Eggs
1/2 C. Milk
2 1/2 C.Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
3/4 tsp Baking Soda (place in milk)
1 12oz bag of chocolate chips
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and milk w/soda. Mix together and add baking powder. Gradually add flour and stir well. Stir in chips. Place on greased cookie sheets about 1 t of dough. Bake at 400% until edge is slightly brown. It usually takes 8 minutes.
I guess I just feel like baking when the cool weather hits. I enjoy turning on the oven more... :) I also drag out my Cappuccino maker.
